Productive function

Productive function is a useful function that irreversibly (permanently) changes a parameter of its object.

Overview

The productive function is one of the three types of functions (alongside providing and corrective) that can be performed within operations (components) of an engineeiring system that is a process.

The only criterion for a productive function is whether the change it causes remains in the final product at the end of the process. For this reason, it is the highest-valued function in the ranking for processes (usually 3 points).
